We’re seeking confirmation from a range of guest speakers across the sectors of Education & Learning, plus Visitor Experience & Engagement, and we will have sessions of great interest to our members working with volunteers and in Events & Interpretation too.

For our Education & Learning colleagues, you will meet and be inspired by Stu Meese from Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) and Tom Bigglestone from Oracy for Schools & The Philosophy Man
For our Visitor Experience colleagues, you will have the opportunity to find out more about The Tourism Awards for Britain and associated links in Ireland, from Sadie Rowell.

If you want to secure your transport arrangements at the (usually) cheaper rates with the rail network or airlines by booking in advance, we invite you to arrive at Liverpool Cathedral from 12.30 on Tuesday12th January 2027, and we’ll be finishing by 1.30pm on Thursday 14th January 2027.
The conference is for all members AND Non-Members of Cathedrals Plus. Places are available for all those working in large Christian sacred spaces – cathedrals, abbeys, minsters, shrines, priories, major churches – who seek support and inspiration from the Cathedrals Plus network. We particularly encourage the following to attend: those in role in Visitor Experience or Visitor Engagement; Education & Learning including School Visits and Adult Learning; Clergy or Lay staff or volunteers, plus anyone with responsibility for managing Volunteers, organising Events and/or Curators and Heritage Interpretation specialists focussed on visitor welcome and the impact of their encounters.
